This issue’s artist is Sherry Jones with Dancing Bear Designs. Sherry is from Whitefish, and has been making jewelry since 2004. She loves to combine colors, shapes, and textures inspired by natural materials to create beautiful pieces of jewelry art. Her handcrafted jewelry features unique designs created with gemstones, leather, fine silver & copper through metal forging, soldering, form folding, stone setting, texturing & string beading. Each piece is elegantly simple, well made, practical, and comfortable.
“Each year my designs evolve as I experiment with new skills and techniques. Primarily self-taught through experimental learning, I have honed my skills through a multitude of classes and experimentation. Although I work with a variety of metals and leather, I love the color and quality of copper combined with gemstones. My art is simply an extension of who I am. As a former school counselor turned jewelry artist, I try to infuse my love of the natural world into elegant pieces of art.”
